FATHERS INSIDE
Bringing
Fathers, and Children together.
|

|
|
Fathers Inside, is a 1 month
course dedicated to looking at the needs of fathers, and children, while they
are experiencing the separation of a prison sentence. This is explored
through coursework and drama, leading to formal qualifications. You also will have an opportunity
to record a children's story, “GoodKnight Stories” to send out to your child
or children via the “Storybook Dads” scheme. |

WORKSHOP No. 2
PICTA
|

|
|
|
PICTA, Workshop 2 is a college based environment, taking
up to 20 students per session. We deliver various qualifications; from basic
skills, ECDL, (European Computer Driving Licence -a Level 1 based skill),
CISCO IT essentials 1 & 2. Level 2 Computer Engineering qualification,
CCNA Level 2 Networking. PNIE, Voice & Data Cabling to industry
recognised standard. We welcome new students, interested in obtaining any of
the above qualifications. |

Workshop No. 3
Recycle /
Waste Management
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
In Workshop No. 3 we sort the daily
prison waste, and remove: - Aluminium cans, steel cans, paper, cardboard, and
plastic bottles, with everything being sent for recycling. We also remove all
prison issue clothing, and plastics. The recycling unit is only in it’s
infancy, but is already making savings of around £1600 per week. |

Workshop No. 4
Carpentry

|
|
|
Workshop 4 makes small items from
wood for the Inside-Out Trust. All the work is then sold in charity shops, or
used by various wildlife trusts. You can gain City & Guilds, Health &
Safety, and Evidence of Workplace qualifications. |

BARBERS
City &
Guilds Qualification
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
This course when completed, will
give you a City & Guilds L2 qualification in barbering. It is a 6 month
course covering theory, and practical skills. The training will be provided
by qualified, motivated staff, who will expect 100% commitment from you. |
